10 Free Starfish Offer- Cleanskin Langhorne Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Description: Langhorne Creek, located near the mouth of the Murray at Lake Alexandrina, is a largely unsung region that quietly produces high quality Cabernet and Shiraz (just for starters) of such high quality that it is regularly included in the production of Grange as well as forming the main backbone of the Wolf Blass Black Label Cab Shiraz. The Cabernet in particular out of Langhorne Creek has a density and lusciousness to it that makes it immediately appealing, whilst the regional dark chocolate character the wines show is unique and only adds to the regions wines.This wine then, whilst it is an unlabelled cleanskin, is impressively rich, well structured and generous with minty fruit and a good intensity to the palate. Drinkable now it will improve in the cellar over the short term, but for a drink right now it would be well suited to a good Lamb Chop.... Free Shiraz Special - Tollana Tr222 Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Description: (Adelaide Hills, SA) The original Cuve was fashioned in 1972 from the 1969 vintage. The bottling code was TR for Tollana Red, the numbers representing the date, second month of the year, and 22nd wine of the year to be packaged. Assembled from batches of excptional Cabernet Sauvignon fruit grown to good vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. Favourable seasonal conditions - particularly mild temperatures, with few sustained hot periods, and moderate and generally well timed rainfall - resulted in good quality and steady ripening of fruit, with full varietal characters being developed. TR222 was matured for twelve months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.
