Alte Pinakothek, Munich Description: Munich`s Alte Pinakothek houses a collection of paintings from the 14th to the 18th century. Founded in the 16th century by Duke Wilhelm IV of Bavaria, the collection is now housed in a neoclassical building, built under the auspices of King Ludwig I.
