Petsafe Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Control Description: This unit can be usedto reduce barking fromyour owndogs outdoors or to help control neighbouring dogs. It looks like a bird house so if it is used forneighbours dogs, theywill not necessarilybe aware that it is helping to control the barking. An internal microphone picks up barkingfrom up to 15 metres away and activates the ultrasonic signal.The unpleasant but inaudible to humanssoundstops when the dog stops barking.Thedog associates the unpleasant noise with its barkingand reduces its barking to avoid the sound.The unit can be hung up, attached to trees, posts and so on orplaced freestanding at a maximum recommendedheightof up to1.5 metres.If the unit has to be mounted above 1.5 metres, it should be angled down toward the dogs location so that the speaker faces towardthe dog, without interveningphysical barriers such as fences open mesh exceptedbetween it and the dog.Barking should be reduced within a week or so.Please note: 1. The unit will not be activated by dogs barking beyond the maximum detection range of 15 metres and will not have any effect on them.2.Barriers such as solid fences between the unit and the dogare likely to prevent it from working to control barking.3.
