Rosenvale Estate Semillon Description: Semillon vines planted in 1940 are the back bone of this wine. This single vineyard is hand pruned the old rod and spur way on a modern trellis system. With attention to detail in the vineyard and winery, we harvest later in the season to bring out the flavour profile of the old Semillon clone and create a new style. The grapes are harvested very early in the morning, chilled, lightly crushed and pressed and allowed to settle before ferment. Enjoying a long cool ferment to maximise flavours and after fermentation, the wines are filtered and bottled under screw cap. This wine is an unwooded style made dry with naturally higher acidity. It is crafted around the ripened fruit flavours of pears and apples with underlying lemon and limes. Crisp dry mouth feel.... Rosenvale Estate Chardonnay Description: Rosenvale has four distinct chardonnay vineyards expressing clonal differences along side the Barossas unique variations in soil and sub climates. With controlled sustainable yields, we aim to produce a fruit-driven wine complimented by vanilla and spice from subtle oak. The grapes are harvested very early in the morning and processed cold. Fermentation is done with a number of yeasts over an extended period to bring out the individual vineyard`s expression of fruit. After fermentation, the wine is assessed for a place in the Estate range before being placed into barrel and allowed to develop in a selection of new oak for around three months. Then bottled to allow the wine to show at its best. Colour is almost clear with green tinges leading to a stone fruit nose of peach and nectarines which are backed up by a soft array of spices and a dash of vanilla. This all comes together on the palate to produce a Chardonnay like no other.... Read More about the "Rosenvale Estate Chardonnay" on the Boutique Wineries Website

Rosenvale Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Description: We have selected fruit from our Cabernet vineyards located at Vine Vale, Nuriootpa and Stockwell. This produces a range of different Cabernet wines that when blended gives us our Estate profile. The fruit was picked at the flavour point we wanted for the location then crushed, fermented with final ferment done in about 85% French and 15% American oak barrels. After ferment is complete, the wines are assessed for style and left to age for around 12 to 18 months in barrel. A medium weight wine with great colours. Mocha and blackberries with a hint of leafiness on the nose translating to blackcurrants and red fruits amongst coffee and herbaceous flavours on the palate. Finishing dry but with a perception of sweetness. Soft tannins, firm acid, balanced palate structure and finishing on Blackcurrants.... Rosenvale Estate Shiraz Description: We selected our Shiraz fruit from our younger vineyards to produce our Estate range of Shiraz. The fruit is harvested and fermented in open top fermenters. When nearly dry, the wine is pressed into barrel where malo and ferment are completed, then left to age for around 12 months in four-year-old American oak barrels. The barrels are tasted and blended together to produce a medium weight wine. This Barossa Shiraz fills the palate with delicious blackberry and cherry fruits complimenting white chocolate and vanilla flavours over a lightly spiced finish.... Rosenvale Estate Grenache Description: The Grenache vines were planted in 1935 and produce a limited number of grapes per year on a brown loam over red clay soil which provides a good base for the root system. The vines are spur pruned on a single trellis for better bunch exposure. The fruit is harvested when very ripe and fermented in open top vats. Grapes are partly crushed and left cold soak for a few days before yeast is added then an extended time on skins before a soft controlled pressing. Completing malo slowly through winter in French Barriques for 12 months. This Barossa Grenache displays a vibrant medium red colour and a red fruit nose. Not to disappoint, the sweet fruit with a lifted spicy palate finish soft, dry and round. This fruit-driven style has good structure, oak control and length....
