Max is sent to bed without supper and imagines sailing away to the land of "Wild Things, "where he is made king.
this is a great book, my baby enjoys it when I read it to him and we look at the great illustrations. This was my husband's favorite book when he was growing up so its good my baby gets to enjoy it too.
This is a great book for children. My daughter is in grade 1 and learning to read. She has been able to read this book with a little help. It will also make your children giggle if you make up some funny voices when reading the book.
An absolute classic. I have wanted this book for years, as I remember it being a favourite for me as a child. Now I can share this neat little story with the children at the Kindergarten where I work and my Grand daughter.
'Where the Wild Things Are' features the adventures of Max when his "monster" antics have him sent to his room by his mother. Every adult remembers and every child knows that this doesn't mean an end to antics at all.
The illustrations have not dated despite being published in the 1960's and, although short, this book certainly triggers memories and imaginings.
This book is perfect for children who are read to, those learning to read all the way through to someone needing a catchup with their inner child.
This one is a bit old for our little boy at this stage but is sure to be a favourite as he gets older. At such a great price we couldn't resist stockpiling for later. A classic.
